finally painted this scene! ✨ just went for it without thinking too much, and painted in the morning before going to work, with my coffee ☕️ and rewatch of Sex&The City (so nostalgic these days for the 90’s and 00’s). Anyways! I am quite happy with the result! Quick watercolor I made a while ago ✨ I have been observing this new building for a while, often took a photo or two passing by. The image stuck in my head - I had to paint something! It had to be the window, its shutters and the shadow. 🪟

“Blue Stairway” - I painted this watercolor last October, and sadly it’s still relevant - we are getting attacked by rockets, some of us without bomb-shelters at home spend the time in stairwells relying on the concrete walls to give us shelter, not to mention others threats surrounding us…

What a photo gallery of an #architect looks like! 📷 Currently in a trip to Japan! 🇯🇵 First ten days we are exploring Tokyo 🏙️ needless to say- the architecture is superb 👌🏻 details, materials, colours, integration of nature 🌿 lots of details from Azabudai Hills complex designed by Heatherwick Studio; some Ginza architecture. So much to take in! 🤍

Mushed some footage of finishing the latest watercolour. ✨

Life under the routine of war. Sirens warning of rockets. Staircases where we take shelter. Old Tel Aviv buildings, that in times of peace leave us in awe, and in times of war have gaps in our feeling of safety.
New buildings in Israel must be planned under strict requirements of incorporating bomb shelters.
Our building is for architectural conservation.
And yet, we love our home.
And we are grateful for the Iron dome and our country that protects us.

Blue evening 🔹 (swipe for progress pictures) The color blue is believed to boost a sense of calm. I made this watecolour with blue colour gradient, layering shadows and light that shines from inside the building in the evening. This kind of evening lighting also beautifully emphasizes the Bauhaus(International) architecture. 🤍
